The trouble with democracy or any other political system for that matter is laziness, stupidity and greed.
But I think it could still work with a few tweaks here and there.
For example, there should be some kind of an intelligence test. A voter should be able to to open a soft drink bottle without injuring him or herself even if there aren't any warning or instructions on the label. And any potential voter who ever voluntarily watched a news clip about Paris Hilton is automatically disqualified. (That does not count for that famous sex tape which I had to watch repeatedly for professional reasons)

There are many wonderous in interesting foods in every place and the further you get away the more exotic they get. In China for example you will come across so called "century eggs" which are marvously delicious but also a little weird. They are ordinary chicken eggs which are being buried in some special clay for up to half a year.

If you really want to try century eggs make sure you get some fresh ones.

June 17. 2007 Oups

A couple of months back I decided that it is time to bring the Aggressively Shy Stick Insect Hunter to a close. I wrote an obituary and posted it here .

But I don't really want to give up my blog. I wanted to continue it posting about my excesses and exploits and shower you with my wisdom.

Unfortunately things have been a bit rough for me in the last months and I got too stressed out to have the patience and desire to be funny.

That can't be a healthy way to life and therefore I decided to take an active approach again to relax and enjoy life. And no, that does not center on recreational drugs.

I just re-designed my professional website, andymaluche.com and once that is done I will change this website here.
The ASSIH will be packed as a finished artwork and disappear into the archives. Like a Phoenix something else will rise but I don't know exactly yet what.

Since I should be working on a big project at the moment I take the opportunity to procrastinate by working on other things that I have been procrastinating on. Like for example this website.

I will retro post some of my exploids below.

One of the most difficult parts of being an artist is that since you have to explore the fringes, areas far beyond other people's perception, you never know if you discovered something new and cool or if you just totally lost it.
The only way to find out is to treat it always as something new and cool and work hard on it.

Perseverance and productivity turn anything into something useful.

I think productivity is a sign of sanity.

June 17. 2007 Father's Day

It's father's day today.

That's even stupider than Mother's day or any other of these consumption enticers.

Birthdays or Christmas, I participate in all of those in the same way I do on some circumcision ceremony in a remote mountain village - with interest but from a polite distance.

I don't like weather

May 6. 2007 Cheated

I am on my way to the airport. My tickets are stand-by so I am really early. I haven't eaten yet and I wanted to get some foundation into my stomach before I will reward it with some of Hong Kong finest ales. I also was on a budget and the choices of food were limited. As a non-practicing vegetarian it is very rare that you would see me in a fast food joint. But today for some reason I had the hots for a big juice, oily burger. Sheepishly I wrung my hands in anticipation of the treat as much as knowingly doing something which is bad for you. Yes I did feel a little guilty but the decision had been made. I will regret that decision later on the way you regret waking up with a headache next to a 10 dollar hooker. But I am the decider. I also felt delighted by the freedom that decision to behave badly gave me.

When the train opened it's door at the airport I rushed down the escalator towards McDonald reckless in anticipation.

McDonalds was closed.

Furious, feeling violated and cheated I drowned my hunger with a couple of Hong Kong finest ales.
