One of the sad realities of expat life is that very
few people you befriend stay at one place for very
long.
You think after a few hundred good-byes you get used
to it, but now and then you have a soul mate who's
departure punctures that thick skin of yours. My friend
Sophie is one of those.
The good part is that with every departure of a friend
you gain a new place on this earth you are really
looking forward to visit.
Good luck in China Sophie.
The T-shirt is one of the best examples of the fusion
of art and fashion.
More often than not people use them to publicize artistic
statements on a fashion vehicle in a fashionable way.
I recently ran into the person who creates this great
blog:
The blog gives you a very intelligent insight into
the Filipino society and psyche.

Photography as art in itself. I see my photography
as a step between still pictures and movies.
The people too fast to allow acting, I catch the movement
without stealing it's momentum.
I see the colors in technicolor.
Arranged like a page of a comic magazine the pictures
tell a story.
Art is the
illustration of
thoughts and concepts
spectacular but not necessarily
decorative.

The fashion has been skinned from the backs of their
wearers, stretched and dried to be eventually used

A billboard is a glamorous bullhorn of fashion. It
needs artistic talent and good design to make an impact
within the fraction of a second the average person
is look at a billboard. It is something we don't notice
consciously also they are abandoned.
I want to make you see, notice those billboards and
understand their significants in our lifes.
Almost as soon as we noticed them flicker they disappear
to be replaced by something younger and newer. You
never see an aged billboard.
Study subjects twice
in order to get the bigger picture.
First impressions,
freely documented,
will be substantiated
through actual knowledge.

I've got posted on pinkwork.com
"4/F, twin pink building (Left), zone b, pinkwork
city"
Pinkwork is a really cool website and a magazine produced
by Ka Ming in Hong Kong.
I like the idea how his website is layed out like
a city. You can stroll through town and click yourself
in artists and musician's lifes. A leaf, an apple
or a guitar, everything has some hidden secret behind
it.
Check out Ka Ming's approach to interviews people
and how he presents the his subjects.
Creative stuff, made me dig out my Flash tutorial.

My buddy Mr. Jones Jr., his wife Eva and I were hanging
out in a tiny cafe along a small lane in a totally
unfashionable part of Cheng Chau Island, Hong Kong.
It was about 2 pm, sizzling hot and we were sitting
there since two hours. Mr. Jones Jr. and I were totally
hammered. I couldn't figure out if I was sweating
so much because I was drinking too much or if I was
drinking so much because I sweat so much. I have to
check the next time what comes first.
