Ambition is like creating and imaginary
mountain in front of you and you prepare yourself to
conquer it. There will be always a bunch of people telling
you that you can't conquer that mountain.
But they can't even see it.
Not only will I conquer my personal mountain, I'll paint
it pink with yellow stars on the way just to piss off
those assholes.

SANTA's
MAD HATTERS
What:
Random Santa hat humiliation for public amusement.
Where: Selected
hat-quarters of pre-Christmas partyism like Sarah
Miller's whipping up of V bar and The Dawn's acoustical
mellowing of Peligro into a frenzy.
Who: Anybody who
couldn't run fast enough or didn't see me coming headed
straight into trouble, literally.
Why: Something
I just hat do to get it out of my system.
I said "hat" to do , he he he.

Imagine all the royalties you could
collect if you would have a patent for masturbation.
The problem is, although everybody does it,
nobody wants to admit it.
You would be a victim of copyright piracy just like
the recording industry.

041217 ADOBE
Bookshop project extension, San Francisco Update on Adobe Bookstore in San
Francisco by Chris Cobb the artist behind the project:

Because of popular outcry and a personal plea from
former Mayoral candidate, Supervisor Matt Gonzalez,
the Adobe Bookshop will keep up the the color-coded
installation of it's 20,000 books through January
15th, 2005. That's right, after literally hundreds
of people have visited the book store (including entire
classes from the local Waldorf School)there has been
overwhelming support to keep the installation up as
a permanent one, or up as long as possible.
Originally planned as a temporary, one week installation,
the project has gained attention far and wide. In
the first weeks an article appeared in the San Francisco
Chronicle, in the SF Weekly, and those brought about
an interview on National Public Radio. Additionally,
the maker of exotic and expertly designed books, McSweeney's,
published an interview about the project. Because
of this or in addition to it, numerous other web sites
picked it up. Sites such as Kottke.com and Flavorpill.net,
carried mentions of it along with photographs. Additonal
spots and an interview appeared on KPOO radio (89.5
FM) in San Francisco.
To some degree, it is clear that this project has
taken on a life of its own. If you have seen the installation
and feel it is something that is worth keeping, please
let me know and let the store know too. However, letting
the store know would be more effective. Especially
letters. It has brought in a lot of new foot traffic
and boosted sales a little for the store. In the long
run it might even be beneficial for the business.
But who knows? How does art complement the world outside
of an art gallery? Perhaps this is a sort of experiment
to see how art can co-exist in a non-art environment?
But it has become somewhat of a community property
now, so write to the store or call them at:

Aren't you tired to keep on hiding behind the same
old kitchen door or in the smelly office toilet.
Step out, take a break and explore the wonders of
spanking your monkey in all these beautiful and exotic
locations.
Let us give you a helping hand when you "moo
moo" it in in Paris, "wank your crank"
in London and "dir einen ab schuettelst"
in Munich.
Enjoy the privacy of mas-tour-bation instead of the
stress of mass tourism.
STYLE in
all its forms expresses our passions--who we are and
how we live. These days, from your dog's jewel-encrusted
collar to your trusty mobile phone, nothing is spared
from the style revolution.

This has been all over the blogger sphere two weeks
ago.
An artist, Chris Cobb decided that the store would
look better if the books are arranged by color.
Here is an interview with him: http://www.mcsweeneys.net/links/events/chriscobb2.html
The only reason I put it in my blog as well is that
I was actually there and took some pictures.
I bought Tom Robbins' "Even Cowgirls Get the
Blues" at the Adobe Bookstore.
A chat in a bar is still
the easiest and most comfortable way
to acquire information and/or to disseminate it.
