"Crucifixion?" I asked
"First to the right and then second to the left" the friendly security guard advised us.
My mom and I screamed with laughter as we drove off leaving a dazzled guard behind who probably never saw Monty Python's "Life of Brian" and therefore didn't get our little private joke.
"One cross each, he he he."
It is Easter and we are on our way to San Pedro, Pampanga, Philippines to witness real crucifixions.
According to the papers there will be no less than 14 people nailed to crosses this year.
This is not some kind of cruel and unusual punishment for law offenders. Those guys do it voluntarily. Although some of them are real criminals and they do it to whip up a little leniency with the big boss for when their time comes.

Everybody is using SMS to communicate these days. I like it too except it is so much damned work to push all those little buttons. I had an idea. How about they would introduce voice recognition so you could just dictate your text into a device and to make things easier for the other party, their device would read the text out loud. That would be sooo cool. I should get the patent for that before somebody else does and I need a good name for it. How about :"Telephone" yeah, that sounds cool. I like it.

From the very beginnning the competition was dominated by none else than your friend, ANDY MALUCHE on my fabulous horse BLUE STALLION. Only after the third round did one of the judges notice the non-regulation runners on BLUE STALLION. Needless to say we got disqualified right away. That didn't stop me from grabbing the biggest trophy and 3 beers and gallopping off into the sunset.

WHAT: The Kamiseta Cup 2005 Show Jumping Championship attracted Le Creme de la Creme of the society. Mikee Jaworsky and Joker Arroyo made a new Philippines show jumping record of 1.74m. In 1978, Stephen Virata held the previous record of 1.66m. Kamiseta owners Gunn and Chris Rogue gave out trophies and cash prizes to the winning riders.

WHERE : They all came an watched to the greenest grounds of the Enrique Zobel field of the Manila Polo Club on a beautiful day just perfect for the relaxed Ascot- inspired event.

WHO: Hosts TIM YAP and TESSA PRIETO-VALDES tried to get BORGY and ORNUSSA to throw horseshows around the premises while MTV's KC MONTERO asked embarrassiing questions to ANNA BANANA and MIKEE JAWORSKY.

WHAT ELSE: I had my fair share of those fun colored cocktails that were served.

AND: I eventually got caught while frolicing with BLUE STALLION in the pool and I had to give the trophy back but they let me keep the beers.
