Especuially when it comes to feeling pity for myself.

You can't un-art yourself.

Once you have chosen the path of creativity you are hooked forever.
Once you understood quality you wouldn't settle for anything below your standards. As an artist you can't do anything anymore without a concept and/or aesthetic value.

October 26. 2006 My show at the FCC

I had an exhibition opening yesterday at the Foreign Correspondent's Club in Hong Kong. 22 large photographs printed on metallic photo paper, sponsored by Kodak and Color Six. From now on people have to wear sun glasses at the FCC.

On Lamma Island where I live in Hong Kong, we had our yearly Lamma fun day. It's fund raiser for something about children. You can read more about it on the Lamma-zine.

I know I produced something good
if it leaves even my closest friends gasping and wondering if by now I totally lost it.

October 10. 2006 Life is a Beach

I so envy all of you guys.
The beautiful autumn season has come and you can enjoy fresh cool winds and morning mist. We don't have autumn around here. All we have is some crappy beaches and some girls frolicking all over the place.

October 2. 2006 Painting Dogs

My apologies for not updating but painting dogs is quite cumbersome and between all the social drinking I have to do it's getting tight.
But it has been a fun experience (actually still is, I am still painting two more today). Nobody actually ever told me what I should do. So just to be on the save side I painted over the existing dogs. Everybody seem to be fine with that.

Here you can see how those original dogs looked like.

This is me working on one:

And this is a finished one with one of my fans:

This is real hard work, two hours and fifteen minutes of continuous painting, a fifteen minute break and another two hours of marathon painting. So far I was able to time it pretty well. A couple of times I finished a little early. That's when you get all those silly aliens and butterflies. And here you can see all the other ones.

October 2. 2006 RTHK 3

Last Saturday I was flogging my dog painting antiques on my mate, Phil Whelan's radio show on RTHK 3.

Phil working the airwaves

Scott Murphy, writer for HK Magazine and part time DJ

And my man Phil again.
