One of the sad realities
of expat life is that very few people you befriend stay at one place
for very long.
You think after a few hundred good-byes you get used to it, but
now and then you have a soul mate who's departure punctures that
thick skin of yours. My friend Sophie is one of those.
The good part is that with every departure of a friend you gain
a new place on this earth you are really looking forward to visit.
