Wooden Swan

The wooden version of the Reincarnated Swan.
So far my biggest Swan. It measures 36" height by 40" width, and it's about the size of a grown wild boar.
2002, acacia wood, one solid piece except the right arm.
I carved it with the assistance of a couple of wood carvers from Angeles City, Philippines.

Trophy for the most senseless protest

We wanted to award this trophy last week to a radical, leftist, environmental conscious student fraternity with ties to anti-abortion activists.
Unfortunately we couldn't because the group protested against the award right outside of our building and they wouldn't let themselves past our doors. 2003

The Original Swan Receives A Purple Heart

This is the very original Reincarnated Swan sculpture.
It has been through a lot.
It was painted over at least 5 times.
It was taken apart and put together two times.
It was used as a model for a marble sculpture, a bronze and finally a wooden sculpture.
I awarded it the purple heart for bravery in the battlefield of the arts.
